About Lucinda
Founder, Designer, and Floral Specialist
Lucinda is a Georgetown student with over ten years of experience in floristry. Her family founded and has continued to operate their successful dried flower business since 2010. After nearly a decade of dedicated research and development, they created a unique floral preservation process that can work even after flowers have been used in special events. These carefully developed techniques serve as the foundation for Preserved Petals, a small business specializing in preserving your sentimental florals. Lucinda is excited to bring her artistry, expertise, and love for flowers to the DMV, and especially to share it with you.
About Preserved Petals and Our Values
Consistency & Quality
We pride ourselves on the consistency and quality of our products, which is why we choose to run Preserved Petals locally and without a shipping option. There are other people that provide this service via online platforms like Etsy, but its hard to guarantee quality. With special event flowers, you only have one chance to get it right which is why we make quality and consistency a top priority.
Simplicity & Sustainability
We pride ourselves on our simple, non-invasive, and sustainable preservation techniques. Unlike with other floral preservation techniques, when our flowers are returned to their owners post-preservation, there is no coating or residue, just naturally beautiful flowers.
Our preservation process also produces no in-organic waste or pollution; all of the materials we use are renewable.
We also pride ourselves on the ease of our order process. Simply place an order through our website, then drop your flowers off at our designated location. In about a month, you’ll be sent a link that your order is ready to be picked up, and you’ll be able to enjoy your flowers for years to come.
Local and Woman-Owned
Coming from both a family of female entrepreneurs and small local business owners, we take immense pride in being both.
